The Sisters of Mercy Parramatta founded OLMC Parramatta in 1889. They have now appointed a College Board to carry on the mission of mercy in the ministry of education at the College.
Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta is under the canonical sponsorship and civil ownership of Mercy Partners. The ministry was entrusted to Mercy Partners by the Sisters of Mercy Parramatta on November 2021.
The Mercy Partners ministerial PJP assumes the role of the canonical sponsor of Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta. The civil relationship is that Mercy Partners Limited is the sole Member of the organisation that operates the Ministry. The day-to-day operations of Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta remains under the governance of their board.
