OLMC has a Foundation to support the College and the needs of our students through which contributions and donations are directed and funds distributed.
The Foundation activities are focused on supporting the College’s Scholarship Fund, Bursary Fund, College Building Fund, as well as its philanthropic support of the Mercy Tree Gift Fund. In addition, the Foundation supports Capital Gifts programs.
Mission
The Foundation was established to ensure donors’ funds are well-directed to financially support the College in its commitment to excellence in Mercy education, now and into the future.
Foundation Objectives
There are a number of ways in which you can support the College through the Foundation:
The College offers four Scholarships: General Excellence Scholarship; Sports Scholarship; Performing Arts Scholarship; and Alumnae Scholarship. Your donation to the Scholarship program supports students excelling in an area to achieve their full potential. Ex-students may choose to donate to the Alumnae Scholarship which continues the tradition of a Mercy education.
The College has a Bursary Fund which offers support to families going through hardship. Your donation to the Bursary Fund supports girls in providing a Mercy Education when they would not otherwise be able to build their future.
The quality of our College buildings and facilities plays a major role in delivering a first-class Mercy education. In providing new buildings and in the refurbishment of older buildings, the College aims to meet existing contemporary and flexible learning with the latest technology. Your donation to the College Building Fund provides money to acquire, construct and maintain College buildings.
A Gift in Will is a wonderful way to celebrate your past while leaving a legacy. When thinking about leaving a Gift in Will, you might reflect on what your Mercy education means to you and how it has influenced your life. It might be that you wish your gift to be associated with a Mercy value, subject, sport or perhaps part of a capital works project. Please contact our Director of Advancement, Susan Giacomelli susan.giacomelli@olmc.nsw.edu.au or 8838 1201 to discuss ways in which you can leave your gift so that it is the most meaningful to you.
Capital gifts allow the College the opportunity to look to its long-term future. To discuss capital giving, please contact Susan Giacomelli, Director of Advancement.
We thank the generous donors who contributed to the Sponsor a Seat campaign which was successful in fully sponsoring the 200 seat Auditorium. With their contributions, they have made a significant impact on providing a high-quality space for various events and activities. Thank you to all the donors for their generosity and support.
