Empowering young women to lead with courage and act justly, making a difference in whatever sphere of life they choose
Our Vision is to provide a contemporary Mercy education in the spirit of Catherine McAuley.
The Vertical House System, which sees students grouped in Houses rather than Year Groups for Student Wellbeing, fosters strong links between girls, teachers and parents/carers.
The OLMC 2021 -2025 Strategic Vision focusses on who we are, what we value and who we are becoming. As a dynamic learning community we are committed to our Catholic faith and our Mercy charism. Accordingly, we value excellence in all that we do and strive to become as a Mercy community.
OLMC is a Christ-centred learning community founded in the Mercy tradition. The policies of the College serve to promote the dignity and uniqueness of each human person.
The OLMC motto, Sub Tuum Praesidium, is Latin for ‘under your protection’: it is the beginning of an ancient prayer of the Church which acknowledges Mary, the Mother of God and our Universal Mother, as our protector and intercessor.
OLMC is very proud of its ex-student community. The many women who have gone on to achieve wonderful things in so many different areas are a tribute to the unique, quality Mercy Education that the College offers.
