A commitment to Mercy Values is at the heart of an OLMC education. Mercy Scholarships are a means of making a Mercy education, with its tradition of academic and musical excellence, available to more young women.
For 2022, OLMC will offer Mercy Scholarships for selected students entering Year 7 who have accepted a place at the College.
Mercy Scholarships provide full or part remission of tuition fees. All other costs, including resource fees, co-curricular activities and uniforms, are required to be met in full by the families. The College’s non-refundable Enrolment Application Fee and Enrolment Acceptance Fee must be paid by the family prior to applying for a Mercy Scholarship.
OLMC PARRAMATTA ALUMNAE SCHOLARSHIP
For almost 130 years, OLMC Parramatta has been educating women of Western Sydney. Thousands of women have benefited from an excellent education in the rich Mercy Tradition. The OLMC Alumnae Association is a vibrant and active association of ex-students committed to keeping the Mercy spirit alive and revitalising connections made through the College.
Each year, the OLMC Alumnae Association funds one scholarship for a student entering the College in Year 7. The Scholarship will cover tuition fees for a six-year period from Year 7 to Year 12. The intention is to enable the daughter, granddaughter or great-granddaughter of an OLMC Parramatta ex-student to be educated at the College.
Responsibilities of the successful candidate:
Please note: The name of OLMC Parramatta Alumnae Scholarship winner will be publicly announced and provided to the Alumnae Committee. The winner may be announced at a College Assembly and included in College publications, including media releases, advertisements, social media, the College website, the College newsletter and so forth. The winner's family connection to the College may also be profiled.
Applicants for all OLMC scholarships are required to sit the Allwell Scholarship Test. Music Scholarship applicants must also provide documentation demonstrating a high level of musical skill, commitment and achievement e.g. copies of AMEB results or equivalent.
Following the receipt of test results by the College and consideration of additional information provided, applicants and their families may be invited to attend an interview, and for applicants for Mercy Scholarships for Music Excellence, submit to an audition.
Applications for Year 7, 2022 Mercy Scholarships will open in Term 4, 2020.
Applications for 2022 entry will close on Friday 12 February 2021.
The Allwell Scholarship Examination for Year 7, 2022 entry will take place in February 2021.
