Diverse Learning

At OLMC we share a collective responsibility to build a whole school culture that is inclusive, by embracing diversity and building confident, independent, and empowered learners.

The Diverse Learning Team works in partnership with students, teachers and families to ensure that all students can participate in learning. They seek to identify the inclusive tools and practices that will help personalise learning, promote student growth and self-determination.

In building an effective Diverse Learning culture we use:

1. Data to understand our students' diverse learning needs
2. Collaborative partnerships with students, key staff, and families to forward-plan for the student
3. High Impact Evidence-based educational strategies
   

We are committed to our students developing their voices to advocate and be meaningfully involved with their education at the College. We work with teachers, so they recognise that all students learn in diverse ways and provide many tools for students to access and engage with their learning. The Diverse Learning Team sees OLMC as a school where all learning environments make students feel welcome, accepted and respected for who they are.
